About the Book
“Tanya and the Baby Elephant” is set in southern Africa, where Tanya is stuck at home. She is lonely because she can’t be with friends due to the new virus. A baby elephant wanders behind her home, and Tanya brings her into her backyard to play. Tanya names her Ellie. What fun to have a baby elephant to play with. Tanya realizes that Ellie is sad and surmises that she must miss her mother. Tanya, with the help of her parents and a park ranger, set out to find her.
